The Angel

I had a dream last night
I was awakened by the light
I looked around and what did I see
A beautiful Angel watching over me
I do not understand just why she was there
She was just floating in the cool night air
I tried to speak and tried to shout
My lips moved but no words came out
As she stood hovering right by my side
I felt her heavenly love glow deep inside
I was mesmerized when she started to speak
I felt all aglow and yet so weak
Her words of love we soft as the snow
She bore the pain and hurt I show
That I now suffer in my life
And even bore all my strife
She said she had a message to give
That I should heal in order to live
She said to me you are not to blame
She was sent to me in God's name
As she left I watched her rise
Right before my very eyes
Before she floated out of sight
She told me of her special flight
Then she told me what God has said
He needs you alive and not dead
