So much pain for us to grieve
It just seems so hard to believe
The day goes by and the night rolls in
This is when it all seems to begin
The time is come for you to rest
The day is over you did your best
Somehow that doesn't ease your mind
You try and sleep but you can't unwind
Over and over the thoughts in your head
You just can't accept that they are dead
Your eyes are heavy you try to sleep
Memories that haunt you make you weep
You toss and you turn but you are still awake
These strange feelings you just can't shake
Images appear that you think you see
Why does this have to happen to me
Night after night the same story unfolds
It never ends it never grows old
Then the time comes when you must decide
To let it all out or just keep it inside
This doesn't get easy I tell you my friend
Tomorrow night it will happen again
One day will come when this won't last
For then you have put in back in the past
This I know is just how I feel
For this is how we must heal
