Support!!!
I have found that most people including our professionals
don't have the faintest idea how and the depth of our grief!
It seems as if we must Educate the Educators!
even the Ministry doesn't understand the loss
and the need we have for comfort and peace.
I have found some support groups that I
Highly recommend at http://www.yahoogroups.com
These very people have suffered the same loss
their compassion and understanding is genuine
they listen, they respond to your needs and
Never Criticize! You will never meet a finer
group of Survivors. They are Truly Friends!
Here you will find links to
Support Groups
and links to other Topics dealing with Suicide.

Warning About The Group Moderator of
Several Suicide Survivor Groups!!!
I do not endorse any online support group
that I feel could be damaging
to grieving families.I have recently
been warned about a particular moderator,
who does not allow freedom of speech or
recommendation.within her groups.
This lady has upset many members and
in particular those who dare to
recommend any other helpful group or
resource. More worryingly, she
accuses some members of having
"hidden agendas" and has written some
vicious e-mails to their private e-mail addresses.
I was warned by
a well-respected psychologist that
this woman is dangerous and to
avoid her at all costs, because her
attitude could potentially tip
someone who is emotionally vulnerable
over the edge.This person is
currently being investigated and a file
of her messages is being
compiled by a legal advisor,
copies of which have also been forwarded
to myself. It is after reading the content
of these disturbing messages
and having consulted with mental health
professionals and suicide prevention
organisations that I was advised to put up
this warning.This person does not
find working with other suicide prevention
and support organisations as a
benefit to her or her groups. In fact, she
is offended by the idea. She feels
the need to run them if she is to endorse
them. She also brainwashes her
groups into believing that her actions are
honourable, although she actively
hurts those who are perceptive enough to see
through the guise and condemns
those wbom she deems to be a threat of some
sort. This woman does not
possess any relevant professional qualifications
and has caused great
distress to many people. Ultimately, her conduct
has the power to cause
further damage and distress to those who are
already suffering through
the indescribabe loss of a loved one to suicide.
A few current members
of her groups said, "It is possible to get along
with her, once you
learn to worship her properly."She manipulates
vulnerable survivors
with her fake kindnesses so that she can use them
to do her dirty work.
She takes advantage of their ideas by using them and
not giving credit
to the individual who had the idea. Anyone who
tries to defend a
so-called threat is thrown out of her groups.
Supporting bereaved people
is not - and never ever should be - regarded
as some sort of competition
and yet this lady refuses to exchange links
with any resource to which
she is not affiliated in some way. There is
always room for more resources
that offer support and comfort and since everyone
has different needs,
there can never one single group that fulfils
everyone's requirements.
The group in question is not well moderated and
finding helpful messages
is like looking for a piece of white cotton in
the Antarctic.If anyone
has any concerns about any other group, please
let me know immediately.
My main concern is that those seeking help
can find it in a non-judgemental
environment where freedom of speech is key.
I also welcome the recommendation
of any other group or site that will be useful
to grieving families, people
suffering from depression or people seeking
advice on drug abuse.
Thank you.
