Spring
You walk outside in the fresh morning air
The sweet smell makes your nostrils flare
The radiance and freshness as you look around
Feels like it comes from the new soft ground
The flowers so beautiful in the morning light
Are awakening again from the previous night
Trees once withered and almost bare
Have buds on their limbs waiting to share
Winters grip has lost its hold
As it gives way for spring to unfold
Those cold days and blustery nights
Are a thing of the past and out of sight
As we awaken the new day will bring
Another beautiful day because its spring
