In Loving Memory
Of
Peter Maginnis.

The Day I Lost My Son

The day I lost my son I cried
I would rather it was me that died
He was so happy and full of life
Then he went downhill due to his wife
She took control of the things he loved dear
Making his life hell and nothing was clear
He was one of New York's finest it's true
His wife is so cruel she plays game with me too
My beautiful grandkids I hardly see anymore
I guess she is trying to make me unsure
The day he left he was happy I'm told
Now I will never watch him grow old
My plate is now full I just want to die
Then I will be with him way up in the sky
Free of life's miseries and pain
I feel like I have nothing left to gain
I pray each night to God up above
That he take me away and share his love
