Night to Day

As the sun sets and the night approaches fast
Another day is ending and will soon be past
It has been almost 24 hours as you can see
This day soon will be just history
You gaze at the stars in the sky above
Looking for someone that you love
Could that be it , the star on the right
The one that shines in the moonlit night
You watch it twinkle and begin to think
Is it me or did it blink
You grasp at something and hope it is there
Only to find that is just the night air
Your eyes get heavy and feel so weak
Shall I go to bed and try and sleep
As you lay down your mind starts to roam
Somone is missing they are not home
What did I do to deserve such a fate
Your heart aches and you can not think straight
O God in heaven hear my plea
Answer my prayers and pity me
Help me make it through the night
To wake up to the morning light
Another day is about to start
You will always be here right in my Heart
This goes on and does not end
In time I pray my heart will mend
I will never be the same that is for sure
Now with God's Love I can endure
Let the night come and then go away
I know in my heart it will be a better day
