My Answer

I sit here and wonder at night
Pondering about what is right
All your beliefs are strained to the limit
Thoughts run through your mind a mile a minute
You can't thing straight you can't decide
What did you miss? What did they hide?
The questions the answers what you don't know
The fate they chose and why they had to go
The pain the grief runs straight to the soul
Your heart is shattered the grief takes its toll
When does this stop when does this end
I can only say I don't know my friend
This was not done to cause you such pain
Nor was it done to cause you any shame
This was done to end their strife
They have nothing left here in this life
The love they had for you is pure
It dwells in your heart forever more
Now at night I look at the sky above
They live forever surrounded by God's love.
