Lost In Memories

Lost in memories is all I have left
Times long past that leaves me bereft
Thinking back to those days not long ago
What do I see my mind doesnt know
You strive so hard to try and recall
What went wrong what led to their fall
Your emotions run deep and so very thick
Its almost as if your mind is playing tricks
The initial shock the tears in your eyes
Begin to subside as time goes on by
The memories you have you must cherish for sure
They will remain in your heart forever more
Nothing makes sense it doesnt seem right
Why they decided to take their life that night
Questions are many but answers are few
What went wrong what didn't I do
The search continues your mind doesn't rest
You must put it behind you for that is best
Try as you must you haven't a clue
Why this tragedy has happened to you
All you have left is memories to share
For someone you loved from you that cared
