God Understands
As the moon slowly sets and the sun begins to show
A new day is beginning and getting ready to glow
Some lives end and some new lives are born
This is Gods work on a brand new morn
He shows us his mercy and all his worth
He created the heavens and also this earth
He gave us his son who died on the cross
God knows our pain he suffered a great loss
So when you are down and have no where to go
Open your heart and let our God know
He understands God has been there to
Thats why his son died for me and you
People will talk and people will say
Only God can show you the way
Speak to God tell him how you feel
He is the only one who can help you heal
That is why at the end of each night
The sun will rise and bring on the light
If you feel weak and find it hard to cope
Just look in your heart you will find hope
You may not find it right away
That is why we have a new day
It may take a long time to feel
That you are now starting to heal
Lift up your eyes and lift up your heart
God’s love is pure and will never part
