How do you mend a broken heart
When your life's been torn apart
How do you stop the tears from your eyes
The only answers are one word Why!
How do you find the words to say
When someone took their life that way
Your mind goes blank your heart is down
A smile has turned into a saddened frown
You have to survive that you must do
Even though it's hard to say it's true
How do you tell the ones you left behind
Through all the pain you lost your mind
We couldn't see the suffering you went through
Maybe if we had we could have stopped you
Now we look back and it's to late
You already decided your fate
We now have to try and survive
It's just a part of being alive
But my tears for you will always flow
Answers I search for I will never know
Now I try and mend a broken heart
It's so hard and you were a part
Now you're gone and I hope you're free
That is the only way I can be happy
